Areola reduction

The surgical correction of the areolae aims to remove excess pigmented skin. The procedure takes between forty-five minutes and one hour. It is performed under local or general anaesthesia. In the case of local anaesthesia, the client can leave the clinic the same day of surgery. After general anaesthesia, the client is hospitalized for one day. The stitches around the perimeter of the areola are absorbed automatically. Wearing a special elastic bra is recommended for at least two weeks after the procedure. Surgical correction of the areolae leaves only a very subtle scar. The effect of areola reduction is permanent.
